Sonata V continues the pattern of alternating minor and major keys. Its Corrente is interesting for employing, at different points, figurations in quavers and semiquavers. Such rhythmic diversity, which points forward to the polythematicism of late eighteenth-century music, is actually very progressive for its time.

La Sonata V poursuit l’alternance mineur/majeur. Sa Corrente vaut par son emploi, en divers endroits, de figurations en croches et en doubles croches. Une telle diversité rythmique, préfiguration du polythématisme de la fin du XVIIIe siècle, est en réalité tout à fait progressiste pour son temps.

In Sonata V wird das alternierende Muster von Dur- und Molltonarten fortgesetzt. Die Corrente tritt durch ihre Achtel- und Sechzehntelverzierungen an verschiedenen Stellen hervor. Solche rhythmische Mannigfaltigkeit, die die Polythematik des späten 18. Jahrhunderts vorwegnimmt, war zu jener Zeit enorm fortschrittlich.
