Reviews

‘Few of the recordings can be a touch steely in places due to their rarity, but Mark Obert-Thorn ensures that Zadora’s tonal qualities are respected and this is accomplished work’ (MusicWeb International)» More

‘Zadora’s affinity for and commitment to this repertoire certainly cuts through the sonic grime. With so many reissues of reissues of reissues on the market, it’s heartening that APR continues to lavish considerable time and effort on 'virgin territory’ (Classics Today)» More
The unusual thing about the Nocturne in B major is that the ending, with its sinister, threatening drumbeats and rather angry recitative, comes in complete contrast to the serene beginning. But it also transforms what could be a rather uneventful work into something much more meaningful.
