Gergana Gergova has won several international violin and chamber music competitions, including the Vladigeroff-Competition, ‘Schubert und die Musik der Moderne’ and Joseph-Joachim-Kammermusikpreis. As orchestral leader she has worked with Deutsche Oper am Rhein, Festival Strings Lucerne, Munich Radio Orchestra and with Kammerphilharmonie Bremen. With her Trio Imàge she gives concerts throughout the world and is invited to festivals such as Lockenhaus, Schubertiade, Verbier, Herrenchiemsee, Heimbach and Moritzburg. Her musical partners include Christian Tetzlaff, Baiba Skride, Alban Gerhardt and Lars Vogt. Gergana’s most important teachers were Yair Kless, Andreas Reiner and Eberhard Feltz, and other musical impulses came from Menahem Pressler, Yfrah Neaman, Anner Bylsma, Heinrich Schiff and Shmuel Ashkenasi. She plays a violin by G B Guadagnini of Turin.
