Wrocław Baroque Orchestra is a period instrument ensemble founded in 2006 by Andrzej Kosendiak and affiliated to the National Forum of Music. Its artistic director is the cellist, Jarosław Thiel and its leader is Zbigniew Pilch. The ensemble’s repertoire encompasses works from chamber music to large scale oratorios, from the early baroque to early romantic periods.

The ensemble has worked with conductors Giovanni Antonini, Claudio Cavina, Laurence Cummings, Rubén Dubrovsky, Philippe Herreweghe and Paul McCreesh, and has collaborated with Cantus Cölln, Collegium Vocale Gent and the Taverner Consort. WBO has performed at many international festivals and has made several recordings: its first, symphonies by the Czech Classical composers Koželuh, Rejcha and Vořišek, received a Fryderyk award in 2011. Its recording of Mozart concert arias, Bella mia fiamma, featuring the celebrated Polish soprano Olga Pasichnyk, was also highly acclaimed.

Wrocławska Orkiestra Barokowa to grający na instrumentach historycznych zespół Narodowego Forum Muzyki, założony w 2006 roku przez Andrzeja Kosendiaka. Dyrektorem artystycznym jest wiolonczelista Jarosław Thiel, a funkcję koncertmistrza pełni Zbigniew Pilch. Obszerny i zróżnicowany repertuar zespołu obejmuje dzieła od muzyki kameralnej po wielkie oratoria, muzykę od czasów wczesnego baroku po wczesny romantyzm. Zespół współpracuje z takimi dyrygentami, jak Giovanni Antonini, Claudio Cavina, Laurence Cummings, Rubén Dubrovsky, Philippe Herreweghe i Paul McCreesh, a także zespołami Cantus Cölln, Collegium Vocale Gent i Taverner Consort. Wrocławska Orkiestra Barokowa występowała na licznych międzynarodowych festiwalach. Ma też już w dorobku kilka płyt CD: pierwsza, z symfoniami czeskich klasyków—Koželuha, Rejchy i Vořiška—otrzymała nagrodę Fryderyk w 2011 roku. Wielkim uznaniem cieszył się także album z ariami koncertowymi Mozarta Bella mia fiamma, z udziałem wybitnej sopranistki Olgi Pasiecznik.
